Any of us that has spent any time within the Church (which I am sure is a majority of African American’s) have some knowledge of the savior, who (to them) is Jesus Christ (may peace be upon him) who the Christians worship as the son of God as if he were God.

I seek refuge with Allah.  As true believer’s we know that God is One, Who needs no consort nor help of any kind.  When He decide on anything He simply Will’s it to be.  He neither has a son, nor was He ever a son, and there is nothing like Him (Quran 112:1-4).

As Muslim we know that there is no God but Allah; it is the absolute foundation of our belief.  “I testify there is nothing worthy of worship But The God (Allah); and I testify that Muhammad ibn Abdullah, to whom God revealed the Quran is the Messenger of Allah.  We worship Allah (God) exclusively; – and we look to the Prophet Muhammad (may the peace and blessings of God be upon him) we follow the prophet because he is the one that God choose to delivery the Message to Mankind and is the best example of how to follow the Message.  And, we honor him for this distinction given to him by Allah by asking God to send His Peace and Blessing onto His Prophet Muhammad  صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَ سَلَّمُ .
